The 26th of March 2011 saw the third Dual, a running and mountain bike event held on the Hauraki Gulf islands of Rangitoto and Motutapu. The event encapsulates everything that is great about our city, a ferry ride on the Waitemata, exploration on two stunning and diverse islands, socialising with like minded people and raising money for a good cause (in this case the Motutapu Restoration Trust). The Dual caters for all levels of experience and fitness, 10K, half and full marathon options run alongside 30k and 50k mountain bike races. Next years event will no doubt be bigger and better so start training now.
