Day forty four: Long Bay to Devonport coastal track

The North Shore of Auckland is blessed with some beautiful beaches. Most people are familiar with Takapuna and Cheltenham but would be surprised by hidden gems such as Minnehaha.

A great way to explore the coastline is by walking the Long Bay to Devonport Coastal track. The entire 23 kilometres can be completed at low tide. It traverses a mixture of terrain, from beach and rocks to pedestrian footpaths. If you happen to be walking this Sunday be sure to keep an eye out for the King of the Bays swim event, a 2.8 kilometre ocean swim from Milford to Takapuna.
