Day sixty three: Alberton House

Auckland Heritage week is a few weeks away so with that in mind get out and pay a visit to Mt Albert’s Alberton House. One of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust properties Alberton began its life as a farmhouse back in 1863. The property was originally owned by the Kerr Taylors and was famous for hosting hunts and balls. Alberton retains all of its former glory and still contains a wealth of original furniture. Entrance is $9.00 for adults, children are free and is located at 100 Mt Albert Road.
