Day eighty six: Volvo Ocean Race

Round the World Yachting action has returned to Auckland when leg 4 of the Volvo Ocean race finished in the City of Sails yesterday. The Viaduct harbour has been transformed into the official race village, where live entertainment will be on show till the boats depart on the 18th of March.

Six syndicates have been going head to head since leaving Alicante, Spain on the 29th of October 2011. Most local interest will be centered on the New Zealand entry Camper. Not only will you be able to get nice and close to the boats down at the Viaduct, the In-Port race series held on the Waitemata Harbour will also give spectators the opportunity to watch them in action.
