Day one hundred and thirty six: Kokako

kokakoWe have spent many an hour in a selection of Auckland’s cafes over the past couple of years. It is a shame that we hadnt visited Kokako on Great North Road earlier. Kokako is  simply superb – from the extremely friendly staff, the stylish fitout of the 1930’s Post Office, the delicious vegetarian menu to the expertly produced cups of coffee, our experience was faultless. I would highly recommend the buckwheat flour pancakes with poached pear, creme fraiche and macadamias.
