With the weather looking a bit iffy again this weekend, why not head indoors and take a peak at the Auckland Museum’s winter exhibition Moana -My Ocean. The exhibition has been running since June and will conclude at the end of September. It is a journey underwater, exploring the vast bodies of water that surround our country. Laid out in five distinct zones – Auckland’s east coast, the Hauraki Gulf, Midwater, Deepwater and the Kermadec Islands – the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through some well-known and lesser known parts of our Oceans.
Afterwards you can swing by the exhibition about one of our most famous New Zealanders, Edmund Hillary, at “From the Summit-Hillary’s Enduring Legacy”.
