Day one hundred and seventy one: The Lumsden Freehouse

TLFor beer drinkers keen to find out what this “Craft Beer” craze is all this about, swing by The Lumsden Freehouse when you are next in Newmarket.

Located at the bottom of Khyber Pass The Lumsden is a Freehouse, meaning that it isn’t aligned to any major brewery and therefore has the ability to pour a wide selection of beers. On our recent visit beers from breweries such as, Schippers, Moa, Sawmill, Matsons and Good George were on tap.

My advice would be to pick a beer and ask one of the friendly staff for a taste before you take the plunge and buy a full pint.
