Day two hundred and forty one: Hobsonville Point

IMG_1822Hobsonville Point, once home to the New Zealand Airforce, is now one of Auckland’s largest new residential developments. The longstanding Hobsonville Point Market is a popular feature of the area and is well worth a visit. The market is compact but full of some hidden gems – authentic French parfait and terrine tickled our fancy, as did the homemade Indian cooking paste we took home. If you are visiting with little ones make sure you stop at the playground and grab a cup of coffee at the Catalina Cafe.
